Welcome to the East Midlands Regional Strategy

The East Midlands Regional Strategy will streamline policy making in the East Midlands by drawing together spatial, economic, social and environmental strategies into a single document to set a new long term vision for the region. The main bodies involved in the preparation of the new Regional Strategy are East Midlands Development Agency (emda) and the East Midlands Leaders' Board (EMLB).

From 1 April 2010, the first Regional Strategy will be formed by bringing the existing Regional Economic Strategy and Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) together. Going forward, emda and the EMLB will work together with partners across the East Midlands to develop a new Regional Strategy.

This website will provide information on all aspects of the new Regional Strategy development process.
